Καλές Πρακτικές

Ως καλές πρακτικές θεωρούνται οι ενέργειες για την επίλυση συγκεκριμένων προβλημάτων ή οι δράσεις που μπορεί να συνδυάζουν κείμενα, διαδικασίες αποφάσεων και διαβουλεύσεων, διαδικασίες επιλογής προσωπικού, τεχνικές εργασιών, προδιαγραφές, χρήση εξοπλισμού, κ.λπ.

Στη συγκεκριμένη ενότητα καταχωρούνται καλές πρακτικές σε σχέση με: τη διαχείριση και προστασία δασών με σκοπό τη διατήρηση της βιοποικιλότητας, την προσαρμογή της δασικής διαχείρισης στην κλιματική αλλαγή, την αποκατάσταση και ανόρθωση υποβαθμισμένων πρεμνοφυών δασών, τη διαχείριση επισκεπτών και τη δημιουργία υποδομών ερμηνείας περιβάλλοντος, καθώς και διαδικασίες εξασφάλισης χρηματοδότησης. Κατά περίπτωση καταχωρούνται και πρακτικές που δεν ανήκουν στις ανωτέρω θεματικές , εφόσον κρίνεται ότι παρουσιάζουν χρησιμότητα για τη διατήρηση και διαχείριση των δασών και κυρίως αυτών που περιλαμβάνονται σε περιοχές του Δικτύου Natura 2000.

Οι καλές πρακτικές είναι σύμφωνες με την κείμενη νομοθεσία, είναι επιστημονικά και τεχνικά αποδεκτές, μπορούν να συνδεθούν με συγκεκριμένα προβλήματα ή δράσεις στα οποία αφορά η Διαδικτυακή Πύλη, έχουν δοκιμαστεί στην πράξη και περιγράφονται με εύληπτο τρόπο.

Αν έχετε αναπτύξει και εφαρμόσει ή έχετε εντοπίσει καλές πρακτικές σχετικές με τα θεματικά πεδία της ΔΠΣΔ μπορείτε να υποβάλλετε πρόταση καταχώρησης, μέσω της σχετικής ηλεκτρονικής φόρμας.

Επιθυμητό είναι η σύντομη περιγραφή να περιλαμβάνει ενδεικτικά τη θεσμική προετοιμασία, τα στάδια υλοποίησης, τα μέσα και υλικά, το αναγκαίο προσωπικό, τον χρόνο προετοιμασίας και εφαρμογής της, τις συνήθεις αιτίες αποτυχίας και τους τρόπους αποφυγής τους, καθώς και παραδείγματα εφαρμογής της καλής πρακτικής, κατά προτίμηση μέσω δημοσιευμένων στοιχείων ή οπτικοακουστικού υλικού. Απαραίτητη προϋπόθεση για την υποβολή πρότασης καταχώρησης είναι η εγγραφή στην Διαδικτυακή Πύλη. Οι προτάσεις καταχώρησης αξιολογούνται σύμφωνα με τη Διαδικασία Καταχώρησης Εγγραφών της Πύλης.

Sustainable financing for forest and landscape restoration: Opportunities, challenges and the way forward. Discussion paper

In this context, FAO and the Global Mechanism of the UNCCD have joined efforts to prepare this discussion paper on sustainable financing for Forest and landscape restoration (FLR). It provides an overview of existing funding sources and financial instruments that could be used and adapted specifically for implementation of FLR efforts at the national, regional and global levels. It also identifies innovative financing mechanisms such as payment for ecosystem services and crowdfunding which can support achievement of the global targets. The paper presents the main challenges for enhanced financing for FLR. Based on lessons learned through many related initiatives, it proposes solutions to support the enabling conditions needed for sound investment in FLR, including financial alliances for better mobilization of resources for FLR and capacity development efforts at the national level. FLR finance has many stakeholders. This discussion paper targets a wide audience including FLR project promoters and implementers (international and national institutions, civil society organizations and private companies) and investors of all types (bilateral donor agencies, multilateral financial mechanisms and private investors, to name a few).

EIP-AGRI Workshop New value chains from multifunctional forests. Final Report: 10-11 November 2016

EU forests serve a wide range of economic, social and environmental purposes and provide around three million jobs. Wood remains the main source of financial revenue and forest biomass represents the biggest source of renewable energy in the EU. However, forests also provide a large range of other products, such as cork, resins, mushrooms, nuts, game or berries as well as recreational services which are increasingly being valued on the market. Promoting new value chains for such products can be a powerful economic incentive for integrated forest management schemes, increasing forest multifunctionality, contributing to sustainable forest management and fostering rural development. The EIP-AGRI workshop “New Value Chains from Multifunctional Forests” was organised to share examples of existing innovative value chains around Europe and explore opportunities for developing new value chains of forest products and services which are currently less-used. In this respect, the workshop focused on four groups of products and services: food, non-food and agroforestry products and leisure and recreational uses.
